A PTA Meeting for class X was
conducted on 05/01/09 and for class XII was
conducted on 06/01/09. The meeting was organized
by Sh. B.N. Jajoria, PGT (Hindi) and Sh. Sher
Singh, TGT (English). The principal and subject
teachers delivered their views to parents for
getting good marks in Board Exam- 2009. |

programs were also organized by class XII
students in the morning assembly. The class
XII students play the role of teachers and

Science Exhibition 2008

|
The Vidyalaya level Science Exhibition was
held on 03 September 2008 which was
inaugurated by Sh. P.K. Chouhan, Offg.
Principal. The topic for the exhibition was
the Agriculture and Food Security,
Conservation of Natural Resources,
Harnessing Energy, Combating Climate
Changes, Disaster Management and
Mathematical Modelling. The students from
class VI to XII displayed models, write ups
etc. very enthusiastically. It was held
under the proper guidance of Sh. Mahendra
Kalra, Sh. R. K. Prajapati, Sh. Mohd. Hashim,
Sh. Girish Dutt, Sh. J.S. Rathore and Smt.
Kavitha. |

Farewell of
Principal Retirement

|
|
Sh. R.S. Sanghi, Principal of
the Vidyalaya retired on 31/08/08 after
successfully completing the service of 35
years in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. A grand
farewell party was given to Sh. R.S. Sanghi,
Principal on 30/08/08 by the staff members of
the Vidyalaya. The Chairman, Col. Atul
Dharampuri of VMC and staff members of K.V.
Jalipa Cantt presented a memento to Sh. R.S.
Sanghi, Principal for his valuable service in
the Vidyalaya. |

Exhibition 2008 |

|
The Vidyalaya level
Social Science Exhibition was held on 13 August
2008 which was inaugurated by Sh. R.S. Sanghi,
Principal. The topic for the exhibition was the
Geography and Culture of United Kingdom and
Himachal Pradesh. The students from class VI to
XII displayed charts, models, write ups etc. very
enthusiastically. It was held under the proper
guidance of Sh. P.K. Chouhan, Sh. S.L. Choudhary,
Sh. R.S. Shekhawat and Sh. M.C. Solanki.

NAEP Speech
Competition |
|
The NAEP Speech
Competition on “Bad Effects of Smoking to Youths”
was conducted on 02/08/2008. Mr. R.K. Prajapati,
PGT (Physics), Mr. M. Hashim, PGT (Comp. Sc.) and
Mrs. S. Kavita, PGT (Biology) were the judge of
the program. The program was coordinated by Mr.
Mahendra Kalra, PGT (Chemistry) and Mr. B.N.
Jajoria, PGT (Hindi). The Shastri House secured
first position, Tagore House secured second
position and the Raman House secured third
position. The Chief Guest of the function was Mr.
P.K. Chouhan, PGT (Geog.), of the Vidyalaya. |

test was conducted on 07/07/2008 and 08/07/2008
from class II to X for fresh admission to vacant
seats in the session 2008-09. |

The Solo Dance
Competition was conducted on 05/07/2008. Mr.
Dushyant Tripathi, Music Teacher, Mr. M. Hashim,
PGT (Comp. Sc.) and Mrs. Maya V. Nair, TGT
(English) were the judge of the program. The
program was coordinated by Mr. Mahendra Kalra, PGT
(Chemistry). The Raman House was the winner in the
category of class I to V and IX to XII & the
Shastri House was the winner in the category of
class VI to VIII. The Chief Guest of the function
was Mr. R.S. Sanghi, Principal, of the Vidyalaya. |

Class XI Admissions |
|
|
As per guidelines
of KVS, admission to class XI in all the three
streams (Science, Commerce, Humanities) have
started from 23 July 2008 depending upon the
applications. This time the students of
neighboring Vidyalaya, K.V. Utarlai also applied
for admission as per instruction of KVS (RO)

CBSE Result 2008 |
|
The month of
May was the month when results of CBSE classes
i.e. Class X & XII was announced. The result of
Class XII was announced on 21-05-2008 with pass
percentage of 91.8% whereas the result of Class X
was announced on 29-05-2008 with pass percentage
of 91.4%. It is the matter of honour to the
Vidyalaya that in both the classes the pass
percentage of student was above 90% with a good
number of students securing high percentage of
marks.

The Annual Day
Function 2008 was celebrated on 16 April 2008.
Col. Atul Dhrampuri, Chairman, VMC was the Chief
Guest and Mrs Sudha Dharampuri was the Guest of
Honour. Mr. R.S. Sanghi, Principal welcomed all
the Guests and Parents. The Gadhwali Dance,
Krishan Leela, Hindi & English Skit, Tribal Dance,
Garba Dance, Ramayan Rap, Bihu Dance, Kalbeliya
Dance and Punjabi Dance etc. were the attraction
of the function. All the items were prepared under
the guidance of Mr. Dushyant Tripathi, Music
Teacher. Mr. Mahendra Kalra, Mr. Sunil Dadhich and
Mr. B.N. Jajoria coordinated the programme.

National Science
Day was celebrated in the vidyalaya on 28/02/08.
The Chief Guest of the function was Educationist,
Philosopher and Principal of the vidyalaya Mr. R.S.
Sanghi. A Inter House Science Quiz Competition was
organized, which was conducted by Mr. Mahendra
Kalra, PGT (Chemistry).
The chief guest and
all science teachers of the vidyalaya gave a
tribute to great scientist Dr. C.V. Raman. The
Raman House secured first position and Ashoka
House secured second in the Inter House Science
Quiz Competition. |

Celebration |

59th Republic Day
was celebrated on 26/01/08. Col. D.A. Khan, Adm.
Comdt., Jalipa Cantt was the Chief Guest of the
function. The Vandematram, Bihu Dance, Punjabi
Folk and Patriotic Poems were the attraction of
the programme. These programs were conducted by
Mr. Mahendra Kalra, PGT (Chemistry), Mr. Ajay
Kumar, (PRT) and Mr. Dushyant Tripathi (Music
Teacher).
At last the prize
distribution of NAEP Poster Competition and Sweet
distribution was done by Mrs. D.A. Khan and Mrs.
R.S. Sanghi.
