INCULCATE SELF-DISCIPLINE

To children and youth the word ‘DISCIPLINE’ may sound unpleasant. But the real meaning of discipline is not restraint. On one hand discipline means a branch of learning and the other is learning to adapt oneself to the conditions of life. It is quite obvious to any thoughtful person that men and women can not line in society without some kind of discipline. Only a solitary savage can do anything what he wants to do all the time. Civilized people have to study the comforts of others. The basis of discipline should therefore be a desire to do on one’s share in making life as easy as possible for the majority. In a household a wise person will not impose his ‘will’ upon his children simply because he is stronger than the others, he will explain to them the reasons why he desires them to do certain things and to refrain from doing things of their choice. Their conduct will then be ruled by reason and not by fear. A discipline which owes its power to fear is the weakest of all rules. The highest form of discipline is self discipline or discipline form within. Discipline is a law of the universe and when we accept and follow a discipline life we are working together with nature to bring about the ends for which she strives.

UNFORTUNATE CHILDREN

Many children in this world are very rich, ‘Ritchie Rich’, They are able to go to school, But, ever noticed, why they go? Simply, for the sake of fun. Nowadays, school are not centre of education. But merely a playground, where students talk with fellows and gossips.

They are not students anymore. But like vagabonds. Think about, Think again, Think of those who roam on streets, Long for a better home, education and future.

We don’t know, we don’t know, we don’t know anything about them, They are those beautiful buds, who do not bloom. We do not know their fragrance or charm, we are not aware of their talents.

Let us join bands to give them, An opportunity to explore themselves. Let us send them to school, To know their progress.

May be they can give a better future, To our country, our world. May be they become those gems of India whose shine will brighten its name.
